World Wide Web is the biggest place for information. In no library of the world
you'd find so much to read, so many opinions, so many subjects. Millions
of websites about everything you want to know or not. So many pages about all
kinds of people. But about "the perfect gentleman, generous and great
friend" (Colin Routh), "the man of great charisma who lived for music" (Martin
Bullard), "the most loyal and trusting friend you could have" (John
Wagstaff), "the man full of fun and one of the most hardworking and
professional people" (Steve Pinnell), about Alan Barton, a charming person,
intelligent but simple, serious but funny, instantly magnetic and highly
charismatic, warm and kind... we found nearly nothing in Internet. So we’d like
to change it.
The family's musical history goes on with Alan's son
Dean Barton. Determined to keep his father's legacy alive, he went to
Germany where landed himself a solo deal with Akropolis Music. Two of his songs
were released on several compilation albums that went to No.1 in the German
Album Charts. In 2003 he set up the writing team Uplift, writing edgy pop songs
for many artists. As well as writing, he is also a talented guitar player and
vocalist. In 2005 he joined a dynamic rock/pop band Tinkka, bringing a strong
rock influence to the group both on and off stage. We hope to welcome Dean's
friends and fans here, to find some information about his music, projects and
releases.
Alan Barton mentioned several times, that it would be
great to have a place for the fans all over the world where they can meet,
exchange things and share opinions. At that time there was no Internet and it
was very difficult to try to unite all the fans from various countries. But now
it's easier, that’s why we united efforts creating this site and invite every
one of you to join us. It’s both Alan’s and Dean’s Birthdays soon, so let this
site be a little prezzie.
Special thanks to Bigs, Tanja, Andrea, Leani, Rene, Karo and Roman for their great help and support.
